Generations Vermont aims to establish a care services site in Central Vermont with the goal of providing high-quality early childhood education and comprehensive adult day services for seniors and adults with disabilities, including meals, activities, community and social engagement, preventative health care, medication management, showers/bathing, and physical activities, while facilitating community programming with an intergenerational focus.
Generations Vermont strives to be a community resource promoting intergenerational health, providing support for caregivers and families with an intergenerational focus, promoting reciprocal engagement and intergenerational understanding. As an organization, it will ensure fiscal stability through diverse funding sources, including clients, members, donors, volunteers, philanthropic organizations, and government programs. It will be adaptable to the changing needs of the community, creating an environment where employees and clients alike feel heard and have something to contribute; and foster an environment of continuous learning for staff, clients and community.
Ultimately Generations Vermont envisions building a scalable and replicable model for other communities interested in developing intergenerational care services.
Generations Vermont is supported by the Department of Aging and Independent Living with organizational assistance from the Central Vermont Council on Aging.
