Ordinances Addressing Livable Wages:
Led by Councilor Traverse, proposed amendments aim to enhance enforcement mechanisms for the Livable Wage Ordinance. Updates include in- house compliance monitoring and alignment with federal standards for specific projects.
Homelessness Initiatives Update:
Sarah Russell, Special Assistant to End Homelessness, will share updates on city efforts to support unsheltered residents, including portable resource distribution and plans to expand low-barrier shelter capacity.
First Reading of the Vacant Buildings Ordinance:
Spearheaded by Councilor Traverse, this ordinance aims to improve the management of vacant properties, enforce penalties, and establish conditions for fee waivers for properties under active rehabilitation.
Second Reading of the Graffiti Ordinance:
The proposed ordinance seeks to strengthen measures against property defacement and includes a private right of action for individuals targeted by graffiti related to protected classifications.
