November meeting of the E. Montpelier and Calais Historical Societies
These groups will meet next Monday, November 18, at the Old Brick Church in E. Montpelier Village for an optional potluck supper at 6:00 p.m., a bit of business discussion and a program by Nathan Phillips called "A Pictorial History of North Montpelier" which will start at 7:00 p.m. If you can come for supper, please bring your own place setting and a dish to share. We will have warm beverages available. This talk should appeal to folks from several area communities as many families had mill workers in them at one point or the other. If you have any artifacts relating to North Montpelier, please feel free to bring them for "show and tell." The meeting is free and open to the public and easily accessible by the back door of the church addition. This is our last meeting of 2024, and your leaders welcome suggestions for talks/walks for 2025. Also, the EMHS will have copies of our town history, "Across the Onion" for sale at holiday rates - $20 for a paperback copy, $25 for the hardback copy.
