With a concert series straddling either side of our national elections, Social Band presents a concert program that contemplates the passage of time measured in centuries rather than months, days and hours. The title of the series is a quotation from the Henry Wadsworth Longfellow poem, "A Psalm of Life": "Let us then be up and doing, with a heart for any fate." We'll present our distinctive mix of choral music, from ancient tunes to new compositions along with a refreshing dose of poetry, robust harmony, and singing camaraderie. Join us!

Unfamiliar with Social Band? This Burlington-based chorus performs a cappella choral music, encourages new compositions especially by local composers, and fosters the joyful and thought-provoking expression of music. Social Band organizes its programs around themes, weaving poetry and song together to create an experience that feeds both hearts and heads. And, while we take the power of music very seriously, we tend to take ourselves a little less so, bringing a sense of exuberance and fun to our singing.

Suggested donation is $18. But that's just a suggestion. Pay less, pay more - whatever will make you feel good about joining us. We'll just be glad to see you!
