The Berlin Conservation Commission is looking for a few volunteer hours from people who walk or ride the Irish Hill trails as there are invasive plants seeking to take over. This effort is intended to keep these invasives at bay with the hopes of eventually eradicating them. We will work with a professional forester removing buckthorn and honeysuckle.
Our final workday for 2024 will be Wednesday, November 13, from 9am to 3pm. Come for the day or just a few hours.
If you are interested and able to give a few hours, or for additional information, PLEASE RSVP TO BERLIN.VT.CC@GMAIL.COM.
Thank you to everyone who has volunteered with us so far this year. We have removed invasive plants from over 5 acres in infested areas near Darling Trail, reducing their ability to spread and creating a space for native plants to thrive. Our town forest is healthier because of your help!
