Renowned classical pianist Simone Dinnerstein makes a welcome return to Chandler Music Hall on Saturday, November 9th. This will be her first performance at the venue since April 2019, the end of a long string of annual concerts.
Former Chandler Board President Janet Watton notes that this concert will be, "by my recollection, about her 20th appearance at Chandler's Steinway." Watton, a long-time friend and host to Dinnerstein, says that, "The pandemic stepped in and interrupted her being our House Pianist. Until now!"
Dinnerstein's 13 albums have all topped the Billboard classical charts.
An American pianist with a distinctive musical voice, Dinnerstein has played with orchestras ranging from the New York Philharmonic and the Montreal Symphony Orchestra to the London Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale Rai. She has performed in venues from Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center to the Berlin Philharmonie, the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Seoul Arts Center. and the Sydney Opera House.
Dinnerstein will play a program including works by J.S. Bach, Jean-Philippe Rameau, and Keith Jarrett. A reception will follow the concert.
