On October 1, another ARPA funded Efficiency Vermont program launched, offering up to $15,000 to fix home repair problems that are keeping a home from being properly weatherized. Wet basements, vermiculite attics, knob and tube wiring are all examples of this. This paired with the ARPA funded up to $9500 weatherization rebate is HUGE! And tie it together with a 0% loan, that's a considerable opportunity.

The grants are only available to moderate and low income folks and these rebate levels won't last long unless another funding mechanism is obtained.

On November 13, at 7:00pm at Howden Hall, Matt Sharpe, of Efficiency Vermont, will explain the new programs and answer questions about specific applications. He will also hold a DIY workshop on how to build an air purifier and one lucky attender who wins the lottery will take it home.
