Good Evening neighbors,
I encourage you to meet Tim and I at The Phoenix for a special evening of music tomorrow (Thursday).
Jordan Sand, from Norway, tours through town to share her music. She plays bowed double bass and sings. Her solo music, described as "Joni Mitchell meets Ligeti" (Omaha Under the Radar), blends song, free improv and noise to haunting effects. Blurring the lines between bowed bass and siren voice, Sand delivers new stories from a familiar acoustic space, fusing strings and chords into an organ-like sound that transcends the sum of two parts.

You are are welcome to take a break from the grind and let the music surround you. Our shows begin at 7:30 and we always offer a sliding scale donation (recommended $15-30). We value youth experiencing these artists too....they can enjoy for free.
