"When the madness of the world is too much to bear, we take refuge in the stories we love." Alice by Heart is an adaptation of Lewis Carroll's classic: Alice in Wonderland. It tells the story of Alice Spencer, a budding teenager who seeks shelter in an underground tube station during the London Blitz. As she experiences new trials, she uses her imagination to transport herself and her tunnel dwelling companions into the characters of Wonderland, confronting her grief, loss, and love.
