The Charlotte Historical Society is hosting an interactive discussion with Shelburne Museum's Director of Preservation and Conservation, Rick Kerschner, Tuesday, September 3, at 7 PM at the Charlotte Senior Center on Ferry Road. Bring your heirlooms, textiles, books, papers, photographs, daguerreotypes, etc., whether old items that need work or new ones you want to preserve for the future, and Rick will give advice on how to care for and conserve them. Bring your questions if you have large items that are not easily transported. With many years of caring for the buildings and more than 100,000 artifacts at the Shelburne Museum, Rick is uniquely qualified to discuss your needs on a wide range of topics. If you missed him at the Charlotte Library, here is another opportunity to consult an expert. Free and open to the public with light refreshments to follow.
