We've just completed a study of the Winooski River tributaries and how to reduce our village flood risks. There is a lot of good news, including clear and promising recommendations to reduce village flood risks. Join the Cabot Flood Resiliency Task Force to hear the results of the study, learn about recommendations and upcoming grant options, ask questions, and talk about next steps.
Cabot's consultants, SLR, will present their modeling of the two tributaries affecting the village, their findings from applying that tool to measure impacts from a range of extreme rainfall events, how various mitigation strategies could moderate the flooding impacts, which then leads to recommendations for town action.
Most of the meeting time will be for questions and answers with our consultants and Task Force. Wraps, salad, beverages and goodies will be provided. Please join us!
