Contra dance Saturday: Adina & River Road

The Montpelier Contra Dance series continues on Saturday, Nov. 2. Come around 7:30 to change or clean your shoes if you'd like a "refresher" intro lesson from the dance caller, Adina Gordon, at about 7:45. At 8:00, we start 3 hours of wonderful tunes and great contra dances, with a short break about 9:30. Contra dance tunes will be played by River Road: Jesse Ball (guitar, mandolin, accordion & foot percussion), Sarah Hadley-Yakir (fiddle) and Kristen Planeaux (piano, flute and accordion). Adina will teach all the dances!

Admission: choose the price that matches you--$12 for regular adult-type people, $5 for kids or low-income people, or $20 if you want to help us pay the band, caller and sound really well! Our dance is run by a volunteer committee, we love to pay the talent generously!

PS, come early for the Capital City Grange Community Potluck, starting at 6:00! Bring something to share and enjoy good food and good company.
