I want to thank all the Richmond businesses who painted the town purple to raise awareness about Alzheimer's and Dementia. And thank all those that filled up those purple donation boxes. The organizers at Vermont's Alzheimers Association said Richmond was one of the most engaged towns in the area. As a long time Richmond resident I wasn't surprised at how our community stepped up.
The Alzheimers Association does a virtual advocacy meeting the first Friday of the month. All are welcome.
Here is the information on this weeks meeting.

Join Vermonters with dementia, family caregivers, interns, volunteers and staff as we celebrate National Family Caregiver month and learn more about Adult Day Programs in Vermont. Following a presentation by the Vermont Association of Adult Day Services, we will be hearing from people who have utilized Adult Day Programs and from those who need respite but do not have options in their area.
Bring your ideas, stories, respite needs, and questions to the conversation.
