Phyllis Rubenstein has been hiking since childhood and backpacking since she was a young adult. She will guide us along her 2023 thru-hike of the AT. Beginning on April 15, she followed spring and then summer wildflowers north from Springer Mountain, Georgia, to central Pennsylvania. In mid-July, she flipped north, summited Mount Katahdin in Maine, and then followed summer and fall wildflowers and fall foliage south back to central Pennsylvania, finishing on November 7. Phyllis will talk about trail life, the hiking community, and the joys and challenges she encountered on her epic journey.
