Come to a presentation of new book by Mad River Valley resident Peter Mahoney. "I Was a Hero Once" is a memoir of the extraordinary life of a Vietnam veteran turned antiwar activist, one of infamous Gainesville 8 protesters, his later adventures in Russia, and trips all over the world doing International Aid work, then finally coming to terms with an ordinary life back in Warren.
