The Mitzvah Fund, Central Vermont's nonprofit mobile veterinary hospital, caring for the companion animals of our most vulnerable neighbors, is gearing up for our 3rd Annual Winter Dog Coat Drive.
Contributions of gently used, clean winter dog coats are needed and can be donated from now through Nov. 2nd in the Mitzvah Fund bins at these generous partner businesses during their regular hours:
In Montpelier: North Branch Café, Splash & Guy's Farm & Yard
In Barre: Pearl Street Pizza and Morse Block Deli
And at Central Vermont Humane Society in East Montpelier
Please patronize these local businesses and thank them for their support!
THIS YEAR WE ARE IN GREAT NEED OF LARGE DOG COATS! Many large dogs are also those with super short hair and no ability to grow heavier winter fur.
The Mitzvah Fund will be distributing FREE dog coats for dogs in need on Sunday, November 3rd from 2:30-5:00PM in the parking lot at Guy's Farm & Yard in Montpelier. Bring your dog for a personalized fit by our volunteers or bring your dog's measurements: From base of neck to base of tail and around their chest just behind their front legs. All dogs at this event must be leashed. THANK YOU!
