Shakespeare Slam
This workshop will bring you right down to the beating-heart level of spoken word. We'll learn about breath in and breath out, about rhythm, about pauses, about creating your own emphasis within the sentences you speak.
Expressing yourself is an essential part of community; in solving problems, verbalizing individual viewpoints with clarity and confidence is essential. Through Shakespeare's words this is possible for everyone.
The goal here is to enable people to speak with clarity about issues that matter to them - what will get you jumping out of bed, onto the street behind the barricade communicating to people convincingly about the issue.
