We are very happy that Extra Stout will be returning to the Tinmouth Old Firehouse concert stage on Friday, November 1 at 7:30 pm.
Based in the Green Mountains of Vermont's Rutland County, Extra Stout is a traditional Irish band that has been playing together for for upwards of 25 years. Sure to be great fun; Marcos Levy, Mary Barron, Sandy Duling, and Helen Mango (long-time Tinmouth resident!) bring all of the variety that Irish music has to offer from raucous drinking songs to ballads of home and county; from slow and haunting airs to rocking reels, sea shanties, jigs and polkas. Engaging vocalists lend their voices to great songs from Ireland's rich history, while skillfully playing a variety of instruments. (guitars, fiddle, whistles, drums and … well, you will just have to come out and see them!)
Their music is rollicking, soulful, toe-tapping, funny, heartbreaking, and timeless.
Extra Stout is a one band Irish festival!
Suggested donation is $15-20 (90% goes to the musicians, 10% to care of the Old Firehouse).
Refreshments and coffee will be served.
The Old Firehouse is in beautiful "downtown" Tinmouth - nestled between the Town Office and the Firehouse near the corner of Mountain View Road and Route 140. You can park near the Town Office or across the road, up near the church green.
We hope to see you there!
This will be the final performance of the fall concert series, so please don't miss the joy of live music in our wonderful venue! The Old Firehouse concert series will return in the spring with more evenings of great music.
