What: Service of Loss & Remembrance
When: Wednesday, 10/30 at 7 - 8:15pm
Where: First Unitarian Universalist Society - 152 Pearl St, Burlington
Who: YOU!
As the seasons change and the nights become longer, it is good to set aside time and intention to mark losses we have experienced and to give space and shape to our grief, individually and collectively. You are warmly welcome to attend the annual Service of Loss & Remembrance at First Unitarian Universalist Society at 152 Pearl Street in Burlington ("the church at the top of Church Street")
Music, poetry, stillness, ritual are the heart of this non-dogmatic service open to the public, marking many kinds of losses and grief we are experiencing at this time - our personal grief and our grief for the world. We will ring a chime for each overdose death this year. You are invited to bring a photo of a loved one you have lost to display as part of the service.
First Unitarian Universalist Society Burlington, founded in 1810, remains a robust and progressive voice within the wider Burlington community. Ever-striving to be an inclusive congregation, we are one people of many beliefs, many origins, sexualities, genders, and cultural identities. We are all growing, all learning, all loved. We welcome all who are welcoming.
