In 1837, President Andrew Jackson hauled a huge block of cheese into the White House and invited citizens to come in and discuss the issues of the day. Many years later, "The West Wing" committed a couple of humorous annd moving episodes to this idea. This event is being held in that spirit!

Hosted by Rep. Theresa Wood and Rep. Tom Stevens (and joined by Speaker of the House Rep. Jill Krowinski!) Block of Cheese Night will be on October 24 at The Phoenix (5 Stowe Street) from 7-9 PM.
