Hi all,

The Child Haven International friends of Hardwick invite you to join us this Saturday, October 26th at Hazen Union cafeteria for a wonderful night of food, fun and festivity. Doors open at 5:30pm.

This is the 16th year that people in your community have come together to bring you all a truly memorable evening with music, entertainment and a full Indian meal! All the proceeds from this special night benefit the 1,300, formerly destitute children at the Child Haven International homes.

As many families in South Asia, struggle through wars and climate disasters, children continue to remain the most vulnerable during these catastrophes, through no fault of their own.

Please join us this Saturday, 26th, in uplifting some of these children by attending this beautiful evening, where the proceeds from the event will be made available to provide healthy meals, housing and medical care to some who need it the most in India, Nepal & Bangladesh.

There will be a silent auction, with dozens of local items (including gift certificates for: massage, Ayurvedic consultation, a yard of compost, organically raised broilers, a night at StoneCity tree house, etc..), hand made pottery & scented soaps! Look for some South and North Indian treasures that also will be up for bid!

There will be several Bazaar tables with dozens of useful exotic hand-made items for sale, including: felted slippers, silver jewelry, stunning scarves, prayer flags, silk neck ties and embroidered tops.

This years vegetarian menu includes:
Masoor Dal (red lentils & spinach),
Mutter Paneer (tomato masala gravy, peas and paneer),
Jeera rice( gently seasoned Basmati rice),
Coconut Beets (beet root with fresh coconut and spices), and
Potato Curry, Raita, Chapati, Fryums, chutneys, home made hot sauce, chai & dessert!!

After the meal, sit back and enjoy a "fashion show" featuring local children dressed in culturally appropriate clothing, swirling, twirling and strutting on the walk-way!!
