Zen Meditation Circle with Rev. Seiso Paul Cooper Sundays 6:00 - 7:00 P.M. beginning November 3, 2024
Shikantaza, "just sitting," is the quintessential form of Soto Zen Buddhist meditation. The practice integrates insight and calming. This gathering includes a brief introduction to the background and details of this ancient practice, a period of guided meditation leading into a period of silent practice. This will be followed by time for fellowship, questions, comments and shared insights. We will conclude with a brief recitation and affirmation for the benefit of all beings. We work with the Zen attitude of "beginner's mind." All are welcome first timers as well as experienced practitioners as we take the first steps toward developing a meditation community here at the First Church in Barre, Universalist. Questions? Concerns? Feel free to contact Rev. Seiso
