Beautiful as it is, the autumn colors and the waning sunlight are bittersweet. Throw in a US presidential election and things take a turbulent turn.

Our souls could use a respite from the oppressive news cycle. Capital City Concerts and Cathedral Arts offer a welcome musical respite in a program of instrumental masterpieces by J.S. Bach on Saturday October 26 at the Montpelier Unitarian Church (7:30PM), and Sunday at St. Paul's Cathedral (4PM).
