Polls will be open at the Craftsbury Town Hall for General Election Voting and Justice of the Peace Voting on Tuesday, November 5th from 9 AM - 7 PM, for those wishing to vote in person. PLEASE BRING YOUR BALLOT WITH YOU when you vote in person. We were given a very limited supply of extra ballots this year.
If you haven't received a ballot, please stop in and we can take care of it there (you can also email us at craftsbury@gmail.com).
I found this really interesting article on VT Digger about the ballots, check it out if you can. Here is the link:
https://vtdigger.org/2024/10/18/mail-in-ballots-are-still-a-thing-to-get-used-to-even-the-th[...]nd/
If you haven't filled the ballot out yet, I just want to remind you to use a black pen. The first side only has one option for each race to vote for. The back side is for JPS, asking you to choose up to 5. Read instructions carefully, remember to print & sign your name and date on the ballot envelope.
Our office will be closed November 5th so we can concentrate on the election.
We would really appreciate it if you would register to vote ahead of time if possible. Election Day is hectic, often a wait. You can register online at https://olvr.vermont.gov/ or just stop in the Town Hall and it usually is a quick process. We are open Tuesday-Friday 8:30-4pm.
To return your absentee ballot, you can drop off at the Town Clerk's office or drop in the ballot box. You can also mail, but please leave plenty of time for us to receive it.
Let me know if you have any questions! 802-586-2823, email craftsbury@gmail.com or just stop in.
