The new St. Johnsbury Community Contra Dance begins this Sunday, October 27, from 5 to 8pm at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.The caller for the dance is Nils Fredland and music will be provided by Calico, featuring Eric Boodman on fiddle, Casey Murray on cello Jesse Ball on guitar and mandolin.
Admission is by donation. Suggested amounts: $15 per adult and $20 as a "supporting patron." Bring clean, soft-soled shoes to change into for dancing.
We'll have a break for a potluck dinner, so bring something to share if you're able.
Future dances are scheduled for the fourth Sunday of the month in November and January through May.
