Nov 3, 2024, 4 to 5 PM

The Missisquoi River Band will be in concert on November 3, 2024 from 4-5 pm. at the Westford Common Hall, 21 Brookside Road, Westford. The event is by donation at the door and also features a coveted pie raffle. The band's CD Plenty of Heartaches will be available as well as CDs by Will Patton and David Gusakov.

"We are very much looking forward to this event," said Cindy Weed. "It's a beautiful facility for concerts. We also have some new original and traditional bluegrass inspired songs that we hope folks will enjoy."

Sheldon's Patrick Murphy, guitar, and Jim and Cindy Weed of Enosburg, guitar and bass, form the songwriting and vocal backbone of the bluegrass band. Their unique three-part harmony arrangements will be masterfully backed up by local veteran musicians David Gusakov on fiddle and Will Patton on mandolin and dobro.

The band CD Plenty of Heartaches, an all original 13-song Cd includes Murphy's bluesy local favorite "If My Girl Friend was a Tractor" while Jim Weed's song" Highgate Road" and Cindy Weed's " Love That Never Failed" paint vivid pictures of love, life and loss in Vermont's Green Mountains.
