Compassionate Character Description
A writing workshop weekend with author Genevieve Plunkett at Prospect Street Writers House
(20 Prospect Street, North Bennington, VT)
What makes a dynamic character? What makes a believable character? How do you create an unlikeable character without creating an unlikeable story? In this three-day workshop, we will look at character description in ways that go beyond names, backstories, and annoying cliches, exploring how compassion can be the writer's most powerful descriptive tool.
Workshop Schedule:
Friday, October 25th from 2:30 PM - 5:00 PM;
Saturday, October 26th from 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM and 2:30 PM - 5:00 PM:
Sunday, October 27th from 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM.
Participants are expected to attend all four sessions.
