On Thursday 24 October at 7pm at the Lamoille Union High School auditorium, the Friends of Green River Reservoir will be hosting the first local showing of the film on Green River Reservoir by renowned filmmaker Ian Sweet. The FGRR contributed to the making of this film and are excited to offer it to the public at this event.

"Green River Reservoir" is a beautifully filmed documentary about Green River Reservoir, the jewel of the Vermont State Parks system, a body of water teeming with wildlife and a unique recreational resource. The film explores the history of the reservoir, current challenges, and how economics and climate change may affect its future.

Along with Ian Sweet, our guests include people interviewed for the film, including Eric Hanson of the Vermont Center for Ecostudies, Board Members of the FGRR, Wildlife Photographer Ron Kelley, Vermont State Parks Regional Manager Nick Caputo, former VT State Senator Susan Bartlett, and more! There will be time for discussion with the filmmaker and guests, and a question-and-answer period.Admission is free, and all are welcome!
