This coming Monday, October 21, the Hardwick Gazette and Hardwick Community Television are co-sponsoring a different kind of political gathering we're calling Politics & Pie with candidates for the Vermont legislature, 6:00-7:30 pm in the Hazen Union library.

This gathering is intended to foster a more constructive, thoughtful, and collaborative approach to tackling important public issues. The format will allow candidates to expand on not just their policy positions, but how they think about different challenges facing our community and state.

There will be PIE and participants are invited to bring a pie or any dessert to share potluck-style–however, that is strictly optional.

The program will include a large group discussion with the two candidates to represent Caledonia County in the Vermont Senate–Scott Beck and Amanda Cochrane. Participants will then have the opportunity for smaller group discussions with Scott, Amanda, and Sabrina Morrison, state representative candidate for Hardwick, Walden, and Stannard.
