Lamoille River Paddlers' Trail - Meeting Dec. 2

Past event
Dec 2, 2014, 7 to 8:30 PM

Please join us for a meeting about a new initiative - the Lamoille River Paddlers' Trail. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, December 2nd, from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. in the upstairs public meeting room at the Johnson Municipal Building (next to the fire station). Light refreshments will be provided.

In partnership with the Vermont River Conservancy, and with support from the Green Mountain Fund, the Trail is an emerging, community effort to develop new opportunities for paddling and fishing along the Lamoille River. Our vision is of a network of well maintained river access points, primitive campsites, and portage trails from the rivers headwaters west to Lake Champlain. We recognize the region’s rich ecology and productive working landscape and seek to facilitate recreational use compatible with the river valley’s natural and social character.

At the meeting, you with have a chance to:
• See the results of a recently completed inventory and assessment of river access points, portage trails, and potential campsites
• Craft a shared vision for the Paddlers' Trail
• Brainstorm priority on-the-ground projects for the upcoming year
Please join us and help shape the future of this exciting endeavor!

Sincerely, Doug Molde, Eric Nuse, and Noah Pollock. RSVPs greatly appreciated to noah@vermontriverconservancy.org
