You are invited and your input matters!
The Lincoln School District Board has been working to develop a draft of the school district's mission and vision statements and a list of core values. The purpose of a district mission/vision/value statement is to inform the district's long-range strategic plan, guide budget decision-making, and to use as a road map for future planning. It will be an important part of ongoing board conversations, and a lens through which all district activity is evaluated.
During their August retreat, the Board created a draft after reflecting carefully about our school and community, the traditions we treasure, and the priorities of how our district educates our children. During August in-service, the Board brought the draft to the Lincoln Community School staff to collect their input and made further revisions based on their feedback.
The Board is now organizing a series of opportunities for community input and one such event is coming up! Next Thursday morning (10/24 @8:45), following our weekly school-wide assembly, parents and community members are invited to stay behind for a feedback session hosted by a few school board members.
If you are able to make it, we appreciate your time and welcome your voice.
If you are unable to make it, no worries! Please know that there will be additional opportunities for you to share your feedback, including an online survey that will be going out to the community in the coming weeks.
Thank you! We appreciate you!
