The Planning Commission will be holding their next meeting, from 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm on October 24 in the Essex High School cafeteria. This meeting will be dedicated to understanding the State's zoning amendment request for the women's correctional facility. The state will not be talking about building design and operations, but about the zoning change and how that could impact the community.

The majority of the meeting will be dedicated to the state answering questions and a public open forum.

The portion of the meeting where the state will answer questions will be dedicated to questions that are received ahead of time. To have your questions related to the requested zoning change and potential impacts email them directly to me (ksonnick@essex.org) before 4:00 pm on Monday October 21. These questions will be forwarded to the state and the Planning Commission and will be included in the PC agenda packet.

The public forum portion of the evening will be an open ended time for the public to comment and ask questions.
