DATE: WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 26, 2014 (11/26/14)
TIME: 10:00AM-11:30AM
LOCATION: 7 JERCHO CENTER CIRCLE, JERICHO VT
On Wednesday, November 26th, the Jericho Town Library will host their annual Puppet Show from 10:00am-11:30am. Youth puppeteers will present “Jack and the Bean Stalk” using puppets borrowed from the Vermont Department of Libraries Children’s Book Exhibit Center. This special event is open to all ages.
Jack and the Beanstalk is a joyous, original adaptation of the classic tale about poor Jack who went to sell his cow and came home with three magic beans. Jack’s daring adventure up the huge beanstalk helps him and his mother out of their difficult financial situation, even if his mother is a bit worried about the moral issues surrounding this unusual way to acquire wealth. The show is created in a Story and Puppet Time format where one performer provides narration while other performers operate hand puppets.
The puppet show will be followed by a craft and a snack. This performance is a collaboration between the Jericho Town Library and community youth volunteer performers. Great for kids and adults and 100% free.
