The 16th Annual Child Haven Benefit Indian Dinner & Sari Fashion Show, will be held on Saturday, October 26th in the Hazen Union High School Cafeteria in Hardwick at 6PM, with doors opening at 5:30.
The Dinner raises funds for the 1,300 formerly destitute children in Child Haven's Children's Homes in India, Nepal and Bangladesh. Following the Dinner, a colorful & entertaining Sari Fashion Show is being reprieved by popular demand.
Anyone who would like to join our line-up of models should call Walker Hartt at 802-535-4102, to be informed about fittings and rehearsal timing.
Then on Sunday, October 27th, from 10 to 2, the cafeteria will be re-opened for the purchase of Dinner left overs, hot chai, and another chance to peruse the Bazaar Table and for information about interning for Child Haven.
To reserve/purchase tickets for the Dinner, contact Deborah Hartt at 472-5284 or go to http://childhaven.ca and click on the "Hardwick Dinner".
Exciting news is that this year our stellar chefs will be joined by Gayathri Pisapati who will bring flavors of the Hyderabad region to some of the dishes. Helpers in the kitchen can be put to good work on Friday from 4 PM into the evening and on Saturday from 11 AM on. Come learn some Indian cooking secrets and help Child Haven at the same time!
If you'd like to help in the kitchen, reach out to Deborah at 802-472-5284. You may also contact Deborah if you can help with the cafeteria set-up, serving and of course clean-up on both Saturday evening and on Sunday from 10 till 2.
