The Hardwick Area Food Pantry, The Town of Hardwick, and Riverside Cycles are hosting a benefit bike ride, "Hunger is Scary," on October 26, 2024 at 10AM. Cost of registration and all additional donations will go to the production of Hardwick Area Food Pantry holiday boxes to expand food access and choice in our region.
The ride will have two gravel route options, a 10-mile-long traditional gravel ride and a social out-and-back Lamoille Valley Rail Trail ride. Both rides will start and end at Hazen Union School. Light snacks will be available at the start of the ride.
Those of all ages and biking abilities are welcome! Bike-safe costumes are encouraged and may result in a small award or recognition for your Halloween-inspired creativity. The event will be held rain or shine!
Riverside Cycles will be open at 8AM for pre-ride parts, quick repairs, or last-minute rentals. Join us at Riverside Cycles for post-ride socializing and mingling. BYO post-ride drinks and snacks.
All participants are encouraged to pre-register. Registration can be found here: www.nourishhardwick.org/ride. Day-of ride registration will be available at 8:30AM.
