Ten years ago, documentary filmmaker Bess O'Brien and I founded Writers for Recovery. Since then, along with a team of amazing workshop leaders, we have been bringing WFR to Vermont recovery centers, correctional facilities, and online via Zoom. Vermonters and people all over the world have joined us to tell their stories, share their victories, and support their recoveries from addiction.

Please come and celebrate our 10th anniversary at the Barre Old Labor Hall this Saturday, October 19th at 7PM! We'll have readings from WFR participants and Vermont Poet Laureate Bianca Stone, live music by the amazing Bent Nails House Band, and cake. You can also pick up a copy of our NEW book, One Imagined Word at a Time, which is full of incredible testimonies to the power of recovery. Please join us, to support recovery and the people you love, and to share in our celebration of a truly wonderful decade of love and community.
