Consider this a personal invitation to the NORTH POLE! We're hearing jingle bells as we pull together this year's Santa Festival in Newport!

Santa saved the date, did you?
According to our list of naughty and nice, you're due for a little HOLIDAY CHEER! We want your group, club, team or business represented alongside Miss Vermont, Milkshake and of course, the big man himself - SANTA! The parade is FREE to enter and has hundreds of spectators each year. Santa says "Gather up your elves and misfit toys for a tour through town!"

Bring your message to the Northeast Kingdom on foot or with a festive float display handing out treats, products or pamphlets as you pass! Plus, all participants will be highlighted by our emcee on Main Street with an free announcement written by you! What better way to unwrap some exposure this holiday season! Following the parade, Main Street opens with games and activities for the family, visits with Santa and special sales throughout downtown.

If your elves wish to participate, you must register in advance by completing the attached form and returning it to Newport Parks & Registration by Thursday, December 4th. Parade organization will begin at 10am at the Gardner Park Skate Shack in preparation for 11am step-off. Prizes will be awarded to the best theme, most humorous and best of show.

Here are a few ideas to get you started:
Re-create a scene from any classic holiday movie or show with your own twist
Rally some carolers, musicians or family members who can play kazoo
Decorate your lawn mower (or anything) with Christmas lights
Create a mobile hot chocolate station to warm up the crowd
Show what your company elves do for work
