The gathering is to start at 5:30 PM. Please bring an ancestral dish to share for the potluck and if you would like, bring a picture or memento from a beloved dead to place on the Ancestor's Altar. During the supper there will be time to talk about Ancestral and Grieving practices and a welcome place to discuss death and dying.

The evening starts with a brief introduction to collective grief and what we celebrate at Samhain and then an invitation for a 15-minute silent "Dumb Supper" experience with appetizers provided. The "Dumb Supper" is a silent meal that is observed in some traditions as an invitation to the beloved dead to dine with the living. Then dinner will commence with an invitation for discussions.

Please register at the link provided so that we have an idea of a head count. It will be by donation if you can, and if you can't contribute please feel welcome to attend anyway. The donations cover the cost of the event space and the rest will go to the Unitarian church.
