Vermont Reads Book Discussion: "Gather"

Past event
Nov 12, 2024, 7 to 8:30 PM

Tuesday, Nov. 12, 7 – 8:30 p.m.
Vermont Reads facilitator Rachael Cohen leads a discussion of "Gather," by Kenneth M. Cadow. Pick up a free copy of the book at the library in October, and read it for the discussion. If you are able, please bring a non-perishable food donation for the Essex – Jericho – Underhill Food Shelf to the discussion.

Vermont Reads is a statewide reading program run by the Vermont Humanities Council. Each year VHC staff select a book that all Vermonters can read and together participate in community activities related to the book's themes. Join us for this 22nd year of the Vermont Reads, with events centered around "Gather" and its themes of rural life, resilience, class differences, addiction and recovery, housing and food insecurity, a deep relationship to the land, and the power of community.
