I invite everyone to join me at the One-Year Anniversary of Vermont Forest Cemetery on Saturday, Oct 12 from noon to 5PM. The Vermont Forest Cemetery is located at 750 Beaver Brook Rd. in Roxbury. It's about a 30 min drive from Montpelier and will give you a great chance to see the last of this season's foliage. There will be tours, snacks, talks about the natural and cultural history of the cemetery, and local artists will be offering visual art, music, and poetry.
The founders and leaders of Vermont Forest Cemetery will be available for tours, questions, and conversation. You can see all the details and RSVP at this link: https://www.cemetery.eco/event-details/vfcs-first-anniversary. This celebration is free and all are welcome but parking is limited so please RSVP to help us plan and visit VFC on Facebook and Instagram for carpooling opportunities.
The Vermont Forest Cemetery is Vermont's first forest cemetery and dedicated to natural burial. Come explore the options for your legacy and earth's future. For additional information please see my commentary in The Montpelier Bridge this week: https://montpelierbridge.org/2024/10/resting-in-peace-reflections-on-witnessing-a-natural-burial/ and if you have questions, feel free to reply to me via email.
