Dear Charlotte residents,
The temperatures are dropping as we enter the colder months, and drafty windows and doors may be becoming more noticeable. Energy costs will once again become a bigger part of our household budgets. There are many little things that can help save heating costs this winter, such as weatherstripping, crevice sealing, electrical outlet insulation, and keeping hot air heating system filters clean.
Your local Energy Committee is here to help you save energy this heating season. We have many free materials for you that will be available at the Charlotte Library porch for the next 4 Saturdays from 10 AM until noon. They will also be available through the library during normal library hours.
Stop by to see us and pick up materials you need including
- pipe insulation
- weatherstripping
- door sweeps
- heating system filter whistles
- outlet insulation
- low-flow shower heads
- caulking
- foam canisters
Stop by on Saturday to say hello and save.
