Can YOU join us? Come roll up your sleeves and help winterize our outdoor classroom spaces in Monkton!! We'll set up (move) a yurt, haul some dirt, clean the pavilion, stack firewood and join together as a community to get the Monkton land ready for winter.
Snacks and fabulous company will be provided (maybe even doughnuts). Everyone Welcome, including children.
Bring gloves, rock rakes and screw guns if you have them (if not, just bring yourself!).

Do you love working with young children in an outdoor setting? Have you always wanted to come see the amazing Wren's Nest Forest Preschool teachers in action and join the team? We are looking for a part time one-on-one for a child in our community. This job will run from mid October until late June, for 22 hours a week. $25/hour and two weeks paid sick/personal leave time. New Roots Outdoor Enrichment Program: at this forest program, students ages 7-12 will join our cohort of experienced educators in classes at our outdoor campus in Monkton, Vermont.
During these one-day-a-week class blocks, (each block runs three weeks), students participate in an emergent, rigorous and joy-filled curriculum from 8:30AM-3:00PM.
Set in the woods and meadows of Vermont's fall landscape: come learn about ecology, puzzles, math, art, community building, and so much more!

Pond Brook State Approved School: Pond Brook Project is a full time, five-day-a-week, state approved school for children ages 12-15. We still have space for a few more students to join our cohort of quirky, brilliant, and spirited 7th-9th graders who spend their days learning together around fires, exploring the wilds of Vermont and being part of their community. Pond Brook is a full time, five day a week, state approved private school run by the Willowell Foundation. We meet each morning in Bristol Vermont and we welcome students of all socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, and disability. The Walden Year: Students ages 16-19 explore their relationship to self, nature, and society at this outdoor alternative (tuition free) program. Meeting Monday-Friday 10AM - 3:30PM at our Monkton campus, Walden Year carries on the tradition of its predecessor the Walden Project. With the fabulous Pete Housekeeper at the helm (taking over for the recently retired Matt Schlein), students will use Vermont's natural, cultural, and city landscapes as their classroom throughout the school year.
