You are invited to a free outdoor picnic and family-friendly public dance party featuring Green Mountain Swing on Saturday October 12 at College Street Congregational Church, Burlington (https://www.collegestreetchurch.org).

The dance (parking) lot is between the historic (1865) church building at 265 College Street, and Fletcher Free Library. Metered parking is available at the library, on the streets, and at garages nearby.

The live music starts at 5pm following a 4:30pm dance lesson from Vermont Swings (https://www.vermontswings.com/). Music to be performed includes big band jazz, blues, Latin jazz, rock, and funk, including titles written or performed by Frank Sinatra, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Charlie Parker, Michael Bublé, Quincy Jones, Dizzy Gillespie, Stevie Wonder, Bobby Darin, Brasil '66, Sade, Herbie Hancock, Chuck Mangione, and more.

Arrive early for a 4pm picnic sponsored by generous donors Hannaford (https://stores.hannaford.com/vt) and Sap! Beverages (https://sapvt.com)!

Voluntary donations support JUMP (Joint Urban Ministry Project, https://jumpvt.org), which since 1998 has provided neighbors dealing with homelessness and economic insecurity, with assistance toward food, utilities, laundromat, thrift stores, and hospitality.

All-volunteer big band and 501(3)c charitable organization GMS donates proceeds to music scholarships for Vermont students (http://greenmountainswing.org/scholarship-fund/).
