A celebration of the life of Joel Cherington, who died on August 2, near his home in Maryland, will be held at the Maple Corner Community Center, in Calais, on Saturday, October 12, beginning at 1 PM. A light lunch and refreshments will be served. Memories of Joel, including his long-time affiliation with Calais, will be shared. Friends, relatives, acquaintances and associates are all welcome to attend all or part of this event, which will end sometime after 3 PM.

There will be a private (family only) interment at the nearby Robinson Cemetery, immediately prior to the 1 PM Community Center public gathering.
