Public Announcement: Supply Drive for Hurricane Helene Relief
The Town of Castleton Emergency Management team is looking to support our southern neighbors affected by Hurricane Helene. From October 8 -12, 2024, we will be collecting essential supplies to aid in the recovery efforts.
Drop-off Locations and Times:
• Castleton Town Office: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Former Castleton Village School: 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
What to Bring: We are seeking the following items:
• Non-perishable food
• Diapers, baby formula, and baby wipes
• Personal hygiene products (Toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, liquid hand soap, feminine hygiene products)
• First aid supplies
• Bottled water
• Paper towels & toilet paper
• Trash bags
• New or used clothing (in good shape & laundered)
• Blankets and pillows (new or laundered)
• Plastic totes
• Flashlights and batteries
• Cleaning supplies
• Manual can openers
• Plastic collapsible water jugs
All collected items will be transported to a staging area in South Carolina, where they will be distributed to those in need in in those states impacted and recovering from this devastating storm.
Volunteers Needed: The Castleton Emergency Management Team is looking for volunteers to help staff the former Castleton Village School during the 4-6PM collection hours.
