Two classes starting in October have openings:
A skill-building A2 101 class focuses on the two basic past tenses using themes "New lives" and "I remember..." Vocabulary includes talking about one's life, favorite cultural pursuits, memories, landscapes, and other life circumstances. Lasting 8 weeks, it meets Tuesdays (10/22-12/17) from 6-7:30 pm at 43 King Street, Burlington. Professor: Lucas Dunn. Fee $230 ($207 for AFLCR members).
A literature class focuses on the novel "Histoires du Québec: Kukum" by Michel Jean, set in the wilderness of early Quebec. It traces the life of Almanda as she falls in love with an Inuit man and forges a new existence for herself halfway between her European origins and his culture. Students read between 25-30 pages per week and discuss style and themes via Zoom. Lasting 7 weeks, it meets Wednesdays (10/16-12/4) from 3:30-5 pm online. Professor: Marc Juneau,.
