Come to a Thanksgiving weekend Story time with local author, Granny Snow. She will read from her books for a family story time at Jeudevine Memorial Library Sat. Nov. 29 at 10:30 am.
Granny Snow is the author of The Silas Series which includes:
-BIG OLE STRIPED SILAS is a heartwarming story about Silas finding a forever home. But before he leaves the shelter, Silas gives his shelter buddies a pep talk, reminding them to never give up hope in finding a home too!
-SILAS GETS A SISTER is the story of the search for a playmate for Silas. A visit to the cat show isn’t fruitful, but the ride home is where Miss Opal, half the size of Silas, is found. (And she's full of spunk!)

You can find more about the series at www.thesilasseries.com. Autographed copies will be available for purchase: a great holiday gift. Granny Snow is from Morrisville.

The captivating illustrations are by Matthew Gauvin. He was born in Vermont and spent five years in Boston studying at Massachusetts College of Art and Design where he graduated with a BFA in Illustration. He has since illustrated 15 books and now lives in East Burke. Before and after college Matthew won a number of art awards including first place in the 2002 Federal Junior Duck Stamp and Design Contest, first place in the 2001 International Aviation Art Contest, and first place in the “Consumers Union Danger of Debt Cartoon Contest.” He has illustrated CD covers, logos, children’s books, children’s magazine and chapter books.

Granny Snow has been visiting many area day cares and libraries including Highgate Library, Wee Explorers Daycare, Morristown Library, Alburg Elementary School, and Stowe Library, to name a few. She is the quintessential Granny. Perfect for a story hour. For more information call the library at 472-5948
