Making friends with AI: A beginners guide to ChatGPT is Tuesday evening, October 8 at 7pm

The talk will last about an hour, followed by time for questions.

Are you a little weirded out by all the news about AI? Maybe you feel curious about AI but also a little concerned. Maybe you're worried a friend or loved one could lose their job to AI. Maybe part of you wishes the whole thing would just go away - yet you don't want to be left behind either.

If you felt a little tug from any of these questions, this free talk is for you. (You can also come if you already like ChatGPT and just want to geek out.)

In this fun and informative talk, you will learn the basics of ChatGPT - one of the easiest and most versatile forms of AI. ChatGPT is free and readily available to anyone with a cell phone, and it has countless benefits for both personal and business use.

If you don't have ChatGPT on your phone yet, you will learn why you might want to get it. And you will learn several of the simple and fun ways you can use ChatGPT to make your life easier.

For example, you can ask it to explain bitcoin, help you choose the best vitamins, get relationship help, plan for your financial future or tell you a joke.

If you already have ChatGPT, you will learn how to use it more effectively to save you time and money.

Bring your questions and your curiosity. During the talk, you will have a chance to explore ChatGPT on your own phone if you choose to. It's just an app – you can always delete it. 😉

Your questions in advance will help me make this talk even better and more relevant to you. Feel free to reach out to the library and we will get your questions to Erin.
