To culminate the Forestry and Conservation Series on Old Forests this summer, we will be having one final field walk this Saturday (10/5) at the Craftsbury Outdoor Center. We will meet at the Activity Center at 9AM for a 2 1/2 hour walk on trails to explore several different forest types and review the topics covered throughout the summer speaker series. Join Liz Thompson, Bob Zaino, Rick Morrill and Jared Nunery as they lead a guide tour through the forest. Topics will cover everything from what makes a forest old, to how to manage for old forest conditions. The total walk will be less than 1.5 miles on maintained trails. This event will happen rain or shine, so dress for the weather.
