It's time for more exhilarating contra dancing at the Capitol City Grange! We'll have great calling and a great band to keep you out on the floor. Come around 7:30 to change or clean your shoes if you'd like a "refresher" intro lesson from the caller, Steve Zakon-Anderson, at about 7:40. After that, enjoy 3 hours of wonderful tunes and great contra dances, with a short break about 9:30. Contra dance tunes will be played by: Eileen O'Grady, fiddle, Donal Sheets on guitar and cello, and Guillaume Sparrow-Pepin on accordion and keyboards. Calling the contras (and teaching the lesson) will be Steve Zakon-Anderson, whose calling we've enjoyed for about 40 years!
Admission for the contra dancing: choose the price that matches you--$12 for regular adult-type people, $5 for kids or low-income people, or $20 if you want to help us pay the band, caller and sound really well! Our dance is run by a volunteer committee, we love to pay the talent generously!
